Cape Town – Amid news that Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin were two of up to 50 people involved in a fast-moving college admissions scandal, history is catching up.
A previous blog post shared on Huffman's parenting website is gaining attention for its subject matter, People reports.
The post, titled Dear 16 Year Olds: Life Is Harsh And 5 Other Things You Need To Know, lists realities and advice to teenagers including that they will "get busted" if they lie to their parents.
"You think you’re so smart and sneaky and while you probably will get away with it a couple of times – maybe even more times than not – at some point you’re going to get cold-hard busted," the post reads.
"Why? Because teenagers don’t pay attention to details. Especially when you add social media sites into the mix."

While the post is written by someone else (Kristen Daukas) some have found the placement and subject matter of the post ironic given the current situation the owner of the website has found herself in.
Huffman and Loughlin, as well as her husband Mossimo Giannulli, were identified as being contributors in a scheme in which wealthy parents allegedly bribed college coaches and other insiders to get their children into some of the nation's most selective schools.
Huffman was arrested on Tuesday, before an appearance in federal court in Los Angeles. She posted a $250 000 bond and is expected to appear in court on 29 March.

One of Huffman's tweets from December 2017 has also resurfaced.
The 56-year-old – who has two daughters, Sofia, 18 and Georgie, 16, with husband William H. Macy – shared a photo of William and Sofia walking ahead of her. She captioned the photo: "Visiting colleges with our 17-year-old. Makes me nostalgic..."
