Felicity Huffman's youngest daughter announces she's going to university months after college admissions scandal

Cape Town – While the college admissions scandal continues with Lori Loughlin next to be sentenced, it seems Felicity Huffman's family is finally moving on – and forward.

In October, the actress was released from prison early after serving 11 days out of her 14-day sentence. This, after pleading guilty to multiple charges which included paying $15 000 for an SAT proctor to alter her eldest daughter's answers on her entrance exam. Huffman also admitted to thinking about doing the same on her youngest daughter, Georgia's.

The Desperate Housewives actress is reportedly refocusing her attention now and plans on spending time helping female inmates after seeing the "harsh" conditions of those women in prison, while Georgia, recently shared on Instagram that she's accepted the offer to attend the prestigious Vassar University.

According to E! News, the 17-year-old posted a logo for the institution on her Stories and has updated her bio to read "Vassar 2024".

Unlike Huffman, Lori Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, recently submitted not guilty pleas for "conspiracy to commit federal program bribery", as well as accusations that the couple allegedly paid $500 000 to admissions consultant and mastermind of the scandal, William "Rick" Singer, to help falsify that Loughlin and Giannulli's daughters were recruits for sports they hardly played to get them special admission consideration. They await sentencing, but many have speculated that due to their pleas and the nature of their case, they could get a much longer sentence than Huffman.

Earlier in December, Loughlin's daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, broke her silence vlogging on her popular YouTube channel for the first time in months, reports NBC. "I'm legally not allowed to speak on anything going on right now," she said of the scandal.

She added that she misses being able to share her life on her channel though. "I feel like a huge part of me is just not the same," she said.
