Cape Town - These five couple’s simply can’t stay away

Singers Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez recently rekindled their romance. The pair have been spotted taking cute bike rides and attending church together, which sparked rumours they’re dating again.

But they aren’t the only famous couple who can’t get enough of each other.

Here are a few celebrity lovebirds who always run back to each other despite their rather tumultuous history.

1.       Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus

The Australian actor and the American singer met on the set of their movie The Last Song (2010) and dated on and off before getting engaged in 2012, E! News reports.

But things took an unexpected turn when Liam (27) and Miley (25) broke off their engagement only a year after the big news.

During Miley’s infamous twerking phase it seemed the couple had no chance of rekindling their love. But the pair, who now live in Malibu, California, surprised the public in 2016 by announcing they were once again engaged.

2.       Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid

The British singer and the American model have had to endure some tough times to get to where they are today.

Zayn (24) and Gigi (22) began dating at the end of 2015 but called a timeout seven months later, according to Business Insider.

The couple have split up on more than one occasion, a source told E! News. But after working through their issues the pair announced in 2016 that they’re back together.

3.       Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom

The American singer and the British actor have managed to find each other again after a four-month split, according to Cosmopolitan. But Katy (33), who’s on her Witness World Tour, and Orlando (40) haven’t been spotted together yet.

Only time will tell if these two can actually make it work.

4.       Pink and Carey Hart

The gold medal for the most on-off celebrity pair goes to the What about Us singer and her husband, a retired motorcycle racer. Pink (38) and Carey (42) began dating in 2001 but called it quits two years later, POPSUGAR reports.

They then got engaged in 2005 and tied the knot in 2006. But the roller coaster didn’t stop there, with another split two years later, though it seemed amicable as Carey appeared in Pink’s music video for So What, her song about their separation.

They reconciled in 2009 and in 2017 celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary, with Pink writing a rather adorable post on Instagram dedicated to her hubby. They have two kids, daughter Willow (6) and son Jameson, who turns one on 26 December.

5.       Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez

The singers went public in 2011 after attending the glamorous Vanity Fair Oscar party together and were dubbed “Jelena”, according to People Magazine.

But after a tumultuous two-year relationship the young couple announced their split, only to be snapped having dinner together two days later.

After Selena’s relationship with DJ Zedd ended in 2015, Justin tried swooping her off her feet by serenading her with My Girl at a popular Beverly Hills hotel bar, Glamour reports. But once again their reconciliation didn’t last.

She started dating The Weeknd in January 2017, with the pair showing up together at the glitzy Met Gala. But it was all over in October.

Since then, Justin (23) and Selena (25) have been seen in each other’s company again.
