George Clooney is Meghan Markle's biggest fan - here's why

Cape Town – George Clooney is advocating for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex once again.

The 57-year-old spoke in favour of the American royal during an appearance on Good Morning Britain on Friday.

Speaking about how the media treats Meghan, George said: "I think it's a little unfair at times when - I've seen it when the press can turn on you for, sort of, ridiculous reasons and for almost nothing, and it seemed to me to be a little unjust since she hadn't done anything except just happen to live her life."

George added that having been in the spotlight for a longtime, Meghan knows how to handle the press and doesn't complain despite the public scrutiny she has succumbed.

This isn't the first time George has had Meghan's back when it comes to the way the media has treated the duchess.

In a recent interview with Who, while promoting his upcoming Hulu series Catch-22, the actor emphasised that the public scrutiny of Meghan needs to stop.
