Geri Halliwell 'hurt' by Mel B's claim about their sexual relationship

Cape Town – Geri Halliwell is reportedly not taking her fellow Spice Girl's latest revelation about their friendship too well.

Geri, known as Ginger Spice in the girl band, has responded to Mel B's claims that they slept together once in the 90's and she's not happy about it.

A rep for Gerri shared a statement with E! News on Sunday, saying: "It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother's Day of all days...

"She would like you to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family."

The statement further reveals that while Geri is hurt, she is not angry with Mel B and is still looking forward to the Spice Girls reunion tour, set to start in May.

Meanwhile, it seems that Mel B is trying to take her words back after confessing to Piers Morgan that she and Geri slept together "like that".

In a new interview with Australian radio show 2Day 104.1, the 43-year-old said she didn't actually admit to doing anything in particular.

"I didn't actually really admit anything, I just admitted, you know, we had a bit of a thing back then and that's it."

She added: "All five of us [slept in a bed together], we were on tour, we had all of our own hotel rooms booked but we all ended up bunking in together. That's what girls do."

Sharing more detail about the night she was referring to when speaking to Piers, Mel B said: "It was just one thing that happened one night. I didn't go into detail about it, at all. It was a little thing and we giggled about it the next day, that's that. It's not a big deal, especially not in this day and age."
