Los Angeles — Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik confirmed on social media that their romance is over.
The 22-year-old model and 25-year-old musician each posted on Twitter on Tuesday about the end of their two-year relationship.
Gigi wrote that she is "forever grateful for the love, time and life lessons" she and Zayn shared, adding that "there is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years."

Shortly after confirming their split, fans noticed Zayn had unfollowed his now ex-girlfriend and her mom, Yolanda on Instagram, reports E! News.
The former One Direction member reportedly had a close relationship with Yolanda, with the TV personality often sharing, now deleted, photos and sweet comments about the 25-year-old on social media.
Following the split announcement, Yolanda shared a quote on her Instagram that reads: "The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way that we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open."
She captioned the image: "And so it is....... #Life"
