Cape Town - It seems Hailey Baldwin is turning over a new leaf in 2019.
The 22-year-old, who’s been known for keeping mum about her private life, surprised fans on Sunday when she took to Instagram to share her insecurities and anxieties in a lengthy, candid post.
Hailey starts the post off explaining that she wants to be more open and honest about the things she’s struggling with, adding that things aren’t always what they seem, and that Instagram pictures don’t always tell the truth.
“The truth is, no matter how amazing life may look from the outside I struggle. I’m insecure, I’m fragile, I’m hurting, I have fears, I have doubts, I have anxiety, I get sad, I get angry.”
Hailey - who married Justin Bieber in 2018 - goes on to admit she’s had days that she feels like she is not good enough.
“I’ve had more days than I can count where I’ve found myself scrolling through Instagram comparing myself, comparing my looks, feeling like I’m not good enough, feeling like I lack so many things and really struggling to be confident in who I am because I constantly feel like I’m just not good enough.”
The model concludes that she is not looking for a “pity party” but hopes her experience will be an inspiration to others.
Pleading to young girls and women to support one another, Hailey wrote: “Lift each other up and stop making other women who are struggling JUST LIKE THEM, feel incompetent and less-than. We ALL have flaws, and that’ll never change, [sic]”
