Cape Town - Iggy Azalea has deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts after nude photos of her were leaked online.

The Australian rapper caused quite the stir when her name started trending on Sunday after a series of topless pictures began circulating the internet, POP CRUSH reports.

The leaked images were unpublished outtakes from a 2016 GQ magazine photoshoot and show Iggy posing with the top half of her body exposed, Daily Mail reports.

The Fancy singer addressed the leak on Twitter yesterday before deleting her account.

“A lot of high profile women have shot covers for GQ with a strategically placed hand, etc., covering their breasts etc. I always felt they were very beautiful covers, so I jumped at the opportunity,” she wrote.

“I hadn't seen other women's covers leak so I felt comfortable (on a closed set) to model for such a reputable magazine knowing only the images with my hands covering [my breasts] would be considered for print.”

The star added that she never consented to having her topless photos released saying she was surprised and angry the images were still in someone’s possession, PEOPLE reports.

The 28-year-old went on to discuss the many comments from men who were sharing their fantasies about her body.

“The outright wicked things people say is overwhelming & makes me feel like throwing up,” she wrote. “If you’ve ever been humiliated before in front of family & those you care about maybe you can relate to what I’m going through.

“It’s like a nuclear bomb that explodes and not only destroys you emotionally, but leaves a path of destruction in your personal life, effecting your relationships & people who matter most too.”

Iggy concluded her statement by saying she planned to take a break from social media to escape the negativity.
