Cape Town - Catriona Gray has arrived in South Africa ahead of the Miss SA 2019 crowning.

The 25-year-old model, who’s also part of the judging panel for Miss SA 2019, has embarked on her first trip to South Africa.

Taking to her Instagram account, Catriona revealed to her 6,3 million followers that she had safely landed on South African soil.

"Just finished closed-door preliminaries with this year’s @official_misssa contestants and I am super impressed!" Catriona posted.

"Us judges definitely have a difficult job, but no doubt these ladies are bound to do amazing things!"

Wishing her a warm welcome, her predecessor and former Miss SA, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, shared an adorable snap of the pair together.

"Welcome to South Africa dearest Cat!" Demi-Leigh captioned her post.

Although it’s not known what activities Miss Universe has lined up for her trip, reigning Miss SA Tamaryn Green is hoping to show her around.

"Looking forward to welcoming our Miss Universe to South Africa & showing her the beauty of our country", Tamaryn wrote on Instagram.
