Cape Town - Jada Pinkett-Smith and couple's therapist, Ester Perel discussed different forms of betrayal in relationships on her talk show.
There’s nothing that’s too off topic for Red Table Talk host and in the next episode on her series, viewers are introduced to a side we never knew existed in her marriage with her husband of over 20 years, Will Smith.
“I'm asked a lot about, 'Is there infidelity in your relationship with Will?'” said the 47-year-old.
“And it's like, 'No, but there have been other betrayals of the heart that have been far bigger than I could even think in regards to an infidelity situation.'”
While the Girls Trip star didn’t divulge about the exact version of ‘infidelity’ events that unfolded, she did point out the various form of betrayal that can exist in a relationship and the alternatives to divorce.

“What are the alternatives to divorce? Everybody thinks as soon as you find out there’s been an affair you have to get a divorce,” Jada, who recently admitted to fending off some of her husband’s admirers, asked Perel.
“I’m not of that persuasion because I think there are many relational betrayals. Contempt, neglect, and violence and indifference and nobody tells people, ‘Leave, leave, get the hell out.’” the therapist explained.
“And especially on women, it’s the real new pressure. God forbid you still love the person who actually cheated on you.”
The pair who’ve experienced their fair share of highs and lows from divorce rumours to raising a blended family, have always made it clear that divorce for them has never been an option.
