Cape Town – James Franco was cut from Vanity Fair’s annual Hollywood issue.
The cover which features a star-studded cast was revealed on Thursday, 25 January.

Originally 13 stars were photographed by Annie Leibovitz. However after allegations of sexual misconduct were made against Franco the magazine decided to remove him from the cover.
A spokesperson for Vanity Fair told The Hollywood Reporter, "we made a decision not to include James Franco on the Hollywood cover once we learned of the misconduct allegations against him."
The publication further reports that cover stars are usually photographed in small groups and then combined digitally into one image meaning Franco’s removal from the cover didn’t require a reshoot.
Several women have made claims of inappropriate sexual behaviour against Franco. (Read more here)
The actor has denied the claims during interviews with Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers.
On Wednesday two of the women appeared on ABC's Good Morning America.
Violet Paley and Sarah Tither-Kaplan initially made their allegations on social media after Franco attended the Golden Globes awards ceremony wearing a "Time's Up" pin indicating support for victims of sexual misconduct. (Read more here)
