Cape Town - As one of wrestling’s biggest and toughest stars, you’d probably guess John Cena’s musical tastes to be in the region of metal or rock, right? Wrong!

When asked in a recent interview with Australian radio show Hit 105 what he’s secretly entertained by, the 40-year-old giant’s answer came as a complete surprise, "Korean pop, K-pop."

"The music itself, the culture surrounding it, I literally stumbled across it by a happy accident and I began diving into it. It’s quite fascinating," he said, according to Metro.

His favourite group? "Obviously BTS", also known as the Bangtan Boys, which lead co-host Abby Coleman to quip: "I would love to see your fiancée [fellow wrestler Nikki Bella] walking down the aisle to K-pop."

"Stranger things have happened my friend, never say never," he replied laughing.

John, who joined WWE in 2002, also revealed what he loved most about his sport, saying: "It doesn’t matter race, creed, colour, religion, sex – what matters is if you entertain. The people able to drum up business and entertain are well compensated. I’ve been well rewarded."

Speaking of entertaining crowds, the champ says he would "absolutely" take on flamboyant MMA star Conor McGregor, Daily Mail reports.

Speaking to The Hook, he quipped: "Would I ever be up for getting in a ring with McGregor? Absolutely, but that would mean he would have to be up for getting in a WWE ring so let’s not put the cart before the horse ladies and gents.

"Let’s see what Mr McGregor wants to do and then figure it out from there. I’m not the one to hand out invites. I don’t do that. That’s not in my job description, that’s gonna be up to him."

Now wouldn’t that be a show worth watching!
