Justin and Hailey Bieber are threatening to sue Dr Daniel Barrett.

The couple claims the plastic surgeon has used Hailey's "name, image and likeness" to "commercially advertise [his] plastic surgery practice and to spread false, uncorroborated claims that Mrs Bieber has undergone plastic surgery" in a cease and desist letter, reports E! News.

Further, they also say he has used "copyrighted protected lyrics" from Justin's hit Sorry off his 2015 album.

According to the publication, Dr Barrett also shared a TikTok video in which he picks apart two photos of Hailey taken a few years apart.

"Pay special attention to the nose," he says in the clip. "What do you think? Well, I'll tell you what I think. I think it's physically impossible without getting a little bit of help from someone like myself to go from this picture to that picture."

He further suggests the model has undergone skin tightening, jawline contouring, genioplasty and put in lip and cheek fillers.

The TikTok comes shortly after Hailey responded to plastic surgery rumours on Instagram after someone posted a photo of her at 13 next to another more recent shot, reports Harper's Bazaar.

"Stop using pics that are edited by makeup artists! This photo on the right is NOT what I look like…. I've never touched my face so if you're gonna sit around and compare me at 13 and then me at 23, at least use a natural photo that wasn't edited so crazy," she wrote in a comment.

Though the Biebers have ordered Dr Barrett to issue a public statement retracting what he said and remove all posts, he hasn't.

He told E! News instead: "The purpose of my TikTok account is to increase the transparency of plastic surgery and to educate people about plastic surgery. The purpose of the video was not to disparage Hailey Bieber in any way, the purpose of my video was to share my opinion about the procedures that I believed she may have had done based on photos alone.

"This is at the request of many of my viewers who follow me for this type of information and for my opinion."

The plastic surgeon has made similar videos using photos of Khloé Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez and shared it on his TikTok account.
