Cape Town — As Justin Bieber says, "word travels fast" so its no secret that he and Hailey Baldwin are engaged.

While eye witnesses to the proposal and the couple's parents confirmed the news, Justin and Hailey remained tight-lipped - until now.
Justin, 24, confirmed the engagement in a lengthy, heartfelt Instagram post on Monday alongside two loved-up black and white snaps of him and his fiancée.
The Love Yourself hitmaker confesses his love for Hailey, 21, in the post and promises to put her first, calling her the love of his life.
"Hailey, I am so in love with everything about you! So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you, loving you patiently and kindly. I promise to lead our family with honour and integrity, letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make."
Justin adds that the thing he is most excited about is being able to show his younger siblings "another healthy stable marriage".
He goes on to share the significance of the date they got engaged - which was on Saturday, 7 July - noting that "the number seven is the number of spiritual perfection."

Hailey took to Twitter with the news, thanking God for giving her "such and incredible person" to spend her life with.

The 21-year-old also poked fun at Justin's attempt at a moustache, hinting that she wants a cleanly shaven groom waiting for her at the alter.
In response to a comment that Justin should grow a stache for the wedding, Hailey said: "Don't you dare give him that idea you lunatic"
