Cape Town - Looks like you can add jealousy to the list of things that ultimately tore Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston’s marriage apart.

In the new issue of Us Weekly, a source reveals how the Leftovers actor was left fuming when he discovered old love notes written from Brad Pitt to Jen during their 2000 – 2005 marriage.

“He stumbled upon old Post-it notes Brad had written,” the source revealed. “Sweet little Post-Its like, ‘You looked nice tonight’ or ‘Miss you already.’”

Apparently he did not deal with it too well. “Jen assured him they weren’t a big deal, but Justin wasn’t thrilled … Justin had moments of insecurity like that.”

Justin (46) and Jen (49) announced their separation earlier this month after two-and-a-half years of marriage. While their bi-coastal relationship (he was based in New York and she in Los Angeles) was said to be the main factor behind the split, new reports claim it was also their inability to start a family.

According to the new issue of People, they were devastated to discover they couldn’t have children early on their relationship (they started dating in 2011 and wed in 2015).

“When Jen met Justin, she had almost given up on the idea that she would have kids. They wanted to have a baby, but it didn’t work out,” a source told the publication.

According to Daily Mail, the two even tried therapy in the months leading up to their shock separation – but it was too little too late.

The magazine also claims that while Jen “isn’t a fan of dating, finding it awkward and unpleasant”, she is a romantic at heart.

“She hates all the media attention that she knows she will get now. But she is a big believer in falling in love and spending her life with a partner that loves sharing hers.”
