After the murder of George Floyd, citizens across the US have been flooding the streets demanding justice and change. The 46-year-old black man was killed by a police officer on 25 May.

NBC Chicago reporter, Trina Orlando shared a clip showing the I Love It hitmaker standing amongst a crowd of people in a black hoodie and mask as one demonstrator said: "We need everybody to stand where they are because we are going to march."

According to E! News, the rapper has also donated $2 million (R33.6 million) after the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor and has been aiding black-owned businesses in Chicago.

He also set up a fund for George Floyd's 6-year-old daughter, Gianna, to put her through college.

Kim Kardashian West, and the rest of the Kardashian family, has also been vocal in recent days amid protests in the US.

The mother of three wrote on Instagram recently: "For years, with every horrific murder of an innocent Black man, woman, or child, I have always tried to find the right words to express my condolences and outrage, but the privilege I am afforded by the colour of my skin has often left me feeling like this is not a fight that I can truly take on my own. Not today, not anymore."

She continued: "Even though I will never know the pain and suffering they have endured, or what it feels like to try to survive in a world plagued by systemic racism, I know I can use my own voice to help amplify those voices that have been muffled for too long."
