Johannesburg - Kanye West will be meeting US president Donald Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner during at the White House this week, according to New York Times.

The American rapper has been criticised many times for publicly supporting the controversial POTUS. Now, Yeezy is being given an opportunity to meet Trump to discuss job opportunities available for former convicts and ways to increase manufacturing jobs in his hometown of Chicago, reports Complex

Kanye has voiced  his support for Trump since 2016 after his victory. According to the Evening Standard, the meeting plans came after Ye delivered a pro-Trump speech on Saturday Night Live while wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat after being told by producers not to wear it.

After hearing about Kanye’s stunt, Trump took to Twitter to share his views saying: "Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told "no"), was great. He’s leading the charge!"
