Kanye West wants a clean slate and this is how he's getting it

Los Angeles - Kanye West has asked for a conviction for attacking a photographer to be erased from his record.

The All Day rapper submitted a no contest plea to misdemeanour battery in 2014 over an incident at LAX airport the year before and was placed on 24 months probation and ordered to perform 250 hours of community service.

Now, having completed more than the required number of hours at Los Angeles Trade Tech's fashion school and staying out of trouble for two years, Kanye - who has children North, two, and Saint, three months, with wife Kim Kardashian West - is eligible to have the conviction expunged.

According to TMZ, he has already filed legal papers asking the judge to wipe his record.

A decision has yet to be made.
