Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx spotted holding hands

Cape Town – Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are for the first time not hiding their relationship status.

It’s been one of the most talked about relationships in Hollywood, maybe even one of the most undercover, but Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have finally confirmed they are an item.

Rumours that Holmes and Foxx are dating began to swirl back in 2013, roughly a year after the 38-year-old’s divorce from Tom Cruise.

Since then the reports have disappeared and resurfaced numerous times, while both parties consistently steered clear from commenting about it.

In a recent interview on The Graham Norton Show, Jamie spoke about dating at his age, which is 49, but remained silent about who he's dating. He simply said: "It's tough out there.

"I am getting older but people think I am younger... When I was asked the other day by a 20-something girl how old I was, she looked at me as though 49 was a terminal disease."

Now, four years after the first report of their romance, photographic evidence of the couple walking along the beach over Labour Day weekend proves they are in fact a couple.

Photos obtained by Daily Mail as well as TMZ show the couple looking relaxed and unbothered by paparazzi as they stroll along the beach.

According to E! News Katie and Jamie spent the weekend staying at a friend’s place along the Southern California coast.

Of their decision to keep their relationship under wraps, a source told E!: “They are doing their thing as usual and keeping a very, very low profile. Katie and Jamie will not at any time talk about their union. They like their life private.”

Meanwhile, Radar Online claimed last year that Katie signed a clause in her 2012 divorce with Tom, restraining her from publicly dating for five years.

It would therefore make sense that the couple are no longer hiding their romance as it has been five years since Katie and Tom separated.
