Experimenting with products is something completely normal for American singer Katy Perry. From trying all sorts of colours on her hair to wearing outfits made from candy floss in her videos, but it seems plastic surgery is a no-go for the star.
Unlike most celebrities who rely heavily on cosmetic alterations, the 33-year-old Swish Swish hitmaker revealed in an interview with Refinery29 how she has never gone under the knife to alter her body.
“I haven't had any. I've done lasers and got [filler] injections under my eyes for the hollowing – which I'd recommend for everyone who wants a solution for their dark circles,” she says. “But all of my assets are real. People tend to think they are fake, but it doesn't really matter.”
While rumours of breast enhancement surgery have followed the singer, a report by the MirrorUK has dismissed them. According to the publication, Katy hasn’t always had a perfect body and she revealed in GQ magazine that at just 11 years old she would pray for an ample bossom.
“I lay on my back one night and looked down at my feet, and I prayed to God. I said, ‘God, will you please let me have boobs so big that I can't see my feet when I'm lying down?’” she told the magazine.
“God answered my prayers, I had no clue they would fall into my armpits eventually.”
According to HollywoodLife, Katy’s confidence seems to come from her new hairstyle. “Cutting my hair meant I didn’t have to hide behind it,” she says. “My face really stands out [now], and I actually feel a lot prettier with my short hair. I’ve really gotten to know my face bette.”
