Cape Town - Kim Kardashian has taken to Twitter to defend herself for straightening her five-year-old daughter’s hair.
After posting an adorable picture of little North giving her daddy Kanye West (41) a huge kiss on the cheek with her hair straightened, the 37-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star defended herself to a fan, who posted concerns about her decision to flat-iron her daughter’s locks, People reports.

“Don’t straighten her hair too much it’ll ruin her curls,” the fan wrote. “I did that to my hair and ruined it but I’m finally getting my natural curly hair back.”
Kim hit back by saying: “She’s allowed twice a year, on her birthday and birthday party! This pic was taken back in June on her bday.”

It’s not the first time Kim has been criticised for her parenting style – last year she received a lot of flak for dressing the toddler in a corset-like orange dress.
She then responded that the dress only looked like a corset, and that she’d “never” put North in a real one, Daily Mail reports.
“This dress that I didn’t design, I actually bought, isn’t a corset it’s just fabric on the front,” she said in a video.
“So, I think it’s really cute, I bought it from a designer and it’s just fabric people, it’s not a real corset.”
