Cape Town - It seems Kim Kardashian West has a cool trick for keeping her diet fun!

On Thursday the mother of three – who lost 32kg after welcoming son Saint in 2016 – revealed she has a cheat day every 10 days.

In a post on kimkardashianwest.com she explained that although she’s been strict with her diet she likes to treat herself to a cheat meal every once in a while.

“It can be so hard (and boring) to eat really clean all of the time,” she said. “A cheat meal allows me to enjoy food without feeling like I’m overindulging. My trainer, Mel, instructs that you should schedule a cheat meal about once every 10 days.

“This way you won’t lose any of the progress you’ve made at the gym.”

However Kim recommends you indulge infrequently – and that you mustn’t hit the booze. And the day after you’d treated yourself you must “get back on track”.

“When you do them too often your body’s hormones are thrown off,” she wrote.

“You can still enjoy your favourite food, as long as you get back on track the next day. Cheat meals work best when you avoid alcohol, since they’re empty calories filled with sugar.

“This part is easy for me since I don’t really drink – which means I can just have an extra doughnut or two. Kidding! I do have a sweet tooth though, so normally my cheat meals are desserts or other sweets.”

Of course this isn’t the first time the beauty has shared her diet tips. In February she revealed she’d slimmed down to a 61cm waist, and in April she shared that she’d embarked on a 10-day eating cleanse, E! News reports.

Judging from her appearance, the 37-year-old clearly knows what she’s talking about. Kim, whatever you’re doing, we’ll sure give it a try!
