Cape Town – The Kardashian sisters have reached the end of an era that helped put them on the map.
Kim announced on Thursday night that all their DASH stores are officially closing.
In a statement, shared on her app, Kim wrote: “After nearly 12 years, my sisters and I have decided to close the doors of our DASH stores. We opened our first store as a family in 2006 and, since then, we have made so many lifelong memories.”
From the very first storefront in in their hometown of Calabasas to expanding the brand to Miami and New York, the Dash empire advanced the Kardashians into spin-off reality shows and more fashion opportunities.
Two of the spin-off shows - Kourtney and Khloé take Miami and Kourtney and Kim take New York - followed the sisters as they searched for the perfect location, renovated and then opened their boutique.
A third spin-off, Dash Dolls, followed the stories of their employees.
Kim added in her statement that her and her sisters’ priorities have shifted since opening the stores, leading to the decision of shutting them down.
“We've loved running DASH, but in the last few years, we've all grown so much individually. We've been busy running our own brands, as well as being moms and balancing work with our families. We know in our hearts that it's time to move on.”
The 36-year-old also gave a special thanks to all their employees and customers for their support.
