Kristen Stewart reveals 2 big things in Variety cover story

Los Angeles - Kirsten Stewart is on the cover of Variety magazine's Cannes cover and her edgy look is making waves.

Not only is the Twilight star reinventing herself, she also let her guard down and shared two very important points that are not only values she lives by, but are also very relevant to the modern world.

Here they are:

1. Kristen refuses to give her sexuality a label.

The 26-year-old - who recently split from girlfriend Soko and enjoyed an extended romance with Robert Pattinson in the past - said: "Me not defining it right now is the whole basis of what I'm about. If you don't get it, I don't have time for you. There's acceptance that's become really rampant and cool. You don't have to immediately know how to define yourself.

"I had to have some answer about who I was. I felt this weird responsibility, because I didn't want to seem fearful. But nothing seemed appropriate. So I was like, 'Fuck, how do I define that?' I'm not going to.

"Plus, I didn't want to fuck with other people. I didn't want to be this example: It's so easy. I don't want it to seem like it was stupid for them to have a hard time. I find the movement that's occurring to be so important, that I want to be part of it."

2. Kristen will always keep her private life private!

The Cafe Society actress insists she isn't deliberately "hiding" herself from the paparazzi but just prefers to keep her personal life private.

She added to Variety magazine: "When I was dating a guy, I would never talk about my relationships. I feel the same way now.

"I'm not hiding shit. That's really important to me. As much as I want to protect myself, it's not about hiding. As soon as you start throwing up so many walls, you cannot see over them yourself, so you just start isolating in a way that's not honest.

"I definitely found where I'm comfortable. I don't take credit for that. Things have really shifted in this wonderful way. I'm reaping the benefits."
