Kylie Jenner denies sending cease and desist letters over 'Rise and Shine'

Cape Town – Kylie Jenner has responded to reports that she sent cease and desist letters over her viral catchphrase turned pop culture bop.

A clip of her singing the words "rise and shine" quickly went viral a little while back.

Soon after reports came flooding in that the beauty mogul wanted to trademark her famous words.

But finding herself in a whole new social media frenzy, this time about the rumour she sent cease and desist letters to a family selling T-shirts that say "rise and shine" on it, according to East Coast Renaissance, Kylie has responded.

Kylie commented on Twitter, "Guys, please don't believe everything you read. I have not sent any Rise and Shine cease and desist letters. Rise and Shine was an unexpected moment... I had a lot of fun with it, and I have laughed so hard seeing everyone's memes since the video came out a few weeks ago..."

"There are no lawsuits," she continued. "No cease and desist letters."
