Cape Town – Kylie Jenner is addressing negative comments about becoming Forbes' youngest self-made billionaire, once and for all.
In the latest issue of Interview Germany, the make-up mogul tells Sara Delgado more about why there is no other word to describe her financial success than self-made.
"There’s really no other word to use other than self-made because that is the truth. That is the category that I fall under.
"Although I am a special case because before I started Kylie Cosmetics, I had a huge platform and lots of fans, I did not get money from my parents past the age of 15. I used 100% of my own money to start the company, not a dime in my bank account is inherited and I am very proud of that."
Kylie adds that she never thought her cosmetics company, Kylie Cosmetics, would be so successful.
"I never thought that this could happen. I believed in Kylie Cosmetics but I didn’t even know what I was getting myself into. It feels amazing, it’s wild, and being the youngest ever to do it is a blessing."
She added that her main focus now is "giving back to people and doing things that I’m passionate about".
The 21-year-old further opened up about how she deals with online trolls saying sometimes she wishes should could just turn her phone off.
"It does get to me sometimes but I feel like God put me in this position because he knew that I could handle it…Honestly, I would love to just put my phone away and live in the moment."
