Kylie talks raising Stormi in the spotlight and jokes about the Kardashian-Jenners' competition in new interview

Cape Town – Kylie Jenner recently opened up about her empire, the fame that's come from it and the challenges of raising a child in the spotlight.

Sitting down with Harper's Bazaar, the 22-year-old who, herself, grew up in front of her cameras with Caitlyn – a pro athlete – and as a part of one of the biggest and most famous families on television, experienced firsthand the challenges with never having a "normal" life. But she says she doesn't keep Stormi from the reality of it all.

"I think about it a lot because the world is just so crazy now," she said of the world's inevitable fascination with her two-year-old. "Exposing her to all of the negativity that comes with the Internet, I think about that too. I'm just trying my best, even though she's still little, to remind her how blessed we are and that this isn't normal, the way we live. It's just our life. People want to take pictures. I think she would feel differently if I was always covering her face like, 'Don't look!'"

Kylie shares Stormi with Travis Scott, and although the two aren't together at the moment after announcing they were "taking space apart" in October, they're working at co-parenting their little one to the best of their ability.

They spent Christmas as a family and recently came together for Stormi's lavish second birthday party.

"We have such a great relationship," Kylie told the publication as she spoke about the Sicko Mode rapper. "We're like best friends. We both love Stormi and want what's best for her. We stay connected and coordinated. I think about [my parents] in situations with Stormi, what they would do. They were very hands-on with me, and I want the same for Stormi."

When the beauty mogul was asked about the rest of the family and whether or not the successful Kardashian-Jenners ever find themselves in competition with one another she said absolutely not.

"I mean, who would we compete with?" she said.

"We have such a life, I swear I'm like, 'We should have a TV show.'"
