Lamar Odom confesses he threatened to kill Khloé Kardashian during 'toxic' marriage

Cape Town – Lamar Odom is delving into his four-year marriage with Khloé Kardashian, revealing shocking details of their toxic relationship.

It's no secret that the former couple's relationship was incredibly tumultuous and riddled with problems that would later be revealed.

Khloé and Lamar's divorce was finalised in December 2016, after the reality TV star originally filed in 2013 but called it off after the former NBA-played suffered 12 strokes and 6 heart attacks in coma due to a drug overdose in 2015.

Since their separation, Khloé moved on with basketball player, Tristan Thompson – who she has since broken up with but shares 1-year-old daughter True with.

Lamar on the other hand is dwelling on the past in a new tell-all memoir, Darkness to Light, in which he details his drug use and infidelity during his marriage to Khloé.

According to Buzzfeed News, Lamar reveals the drugs he used were "toxic, like unleashing a demon" but that he was good at hiding it, at first.

"I was professional at hiding it. Khloé didn't know for a long time. You don't want your wife to know that you're sniffing coke and having sex with other women."

The 39-year-old further admits things escalated one night while he was high on cocaine and ecstasy, writing: "I couldn’t tell reality from fantasy. I was on ecstasy and coke. I was sure that people were coming for me. They wanted to get me…"

At that point Khloé called Lamar's friends over to check on him, and knocked on the door of his 'man cave' when he opened the door and grabbed her, People reports.

"I opened it [the door] suddenly and grabbed her forcefully by the shoulders, which frightened her.

"'What the fuck are you doing?' I screamed, out of my mind. 'You trying to embarrass me in front of my friends? I’ll fucking kill you! You don’t know what I’m capable of!'"

Lamar goes on to confess that he is "embarrassed and ashamed" about that moment.

"It was a new low for our relationship and my life… the most regrettable moment in a series of regrettable moments."

According to Daily Mail, Khloé has not publicly commented about the memoir but has made contact with Lamar privately.

During an interview with Jenny McCarthy on her SiriusXM show on Wednesday, Lamar claimed Khloé texted him on Tuesday asking about something he wrote.

"Um, she sent me a text yesterday," he said. "She good, she talked about one of the stories I told in the book. About her coming to the hotel and putting her hands on the girl. She said she didn't even think I remembered that story."

In the memoir, Lamar also claims Khloé beat up a stripper after catching him with her.
