Remember that awkward red-carpet moment between Lena Dunham and Brad Pitt?

Turns out it wasn’t that awkward after all. If anything, the duo ended up secretly sharing pizza together and Brad even gifted Lena a special ring, ET Online reports.

During an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (WWHL), the 34-year-old actress cleared the air on the speculation around the cringe moment captured between herself and Brad in 2019 at the London premiere of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

"I don't know if you remember there was a sort of awkward photo taken of the two of us," Lena said, referring to the incident.

"Well, the way the internet read it was I had somehow physically accosted him, causing him a great deal of stress... I would never force a kiss on Brad Pitt.

"I respect him far too much as an artist and a friend."

She says she’s friends with the 56-year-old star and even went on to share a pizza with him after the red carpet moment that went viral, Page Six reports.

"Later that night because he knew I felt nervous, he took me into a room and we secretly ate pizza and I told him I like his ring, and he gave it to me," she said.

"And I wear it, and every time I wear it, something amazing happens."

During her virtual appearance on WWHL alongside singer Dua Lipa, Lena also got candid about working with Brad on the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, E! News reports.

"I actually had the pleasure of knowing him a little bit previously, so I wasn’t going in totally blind," she said.

"He was doing a scene where he was parking a car and he’s supposed to get out and look around. And he looked around and saw me at the edge of the frame and came over and picked me up and spun me around," she recalled.

"It was like in one of those movies where the nerd shows up at the prom and the hottest guy at school is like, 'Would you care to dance?'"

Although Lena was nervous at the time about being in the same room with so many of her idols, she admits that Brad made her feel pretty cool and described him as "truly a kind person who can read the room".
