New York — Her 30th birthday in only in December, but Taylor Swift is taking the year before the milestone anniversary to reflect on everything she has learned so far.
The cover star of Elle magazine's April issue has opened up to the publication about the lessons she's learned over the last 29 years of her life "because it's 2019 and sharing is caring".
Of the thirty lessons, a few stand out. Number 1 on Taylor's list is that she has turned off comments on social media to "block some of the noise".
Taylor further revealed that her biggest fear was going on tour after the Las Vegas concert shooting and the bombing at Manchester Arena in England. She said there was a tremendous amount of planning and expense to keep her fans safe.
She also says her fear of violence continues into her own life because of stalkers, but adds that people have to live bravely and not be ruled by "our fears".
And when it comes to love, Taylor admits it's better to get to know someone before jumping in headfirst.
"It’s impressive when someone can charm people instantly and own the room, but what I know now to be more valuable about a person is not their charming routine upon meeting them, but the layers of a person you discover in time."
