Luke Perry remains under observation in hospital after stroke as co-stars send well wishes

Los Angeles — A publicist for Beverly Hills, 90210 star Luke Perry says the actor has been hospitalised.

According to TMZ, Perry suffered a "massive"stroke on Wednesday and has since been sedated.

According to E! News, paramedics were called out to the Riverdale actor's house around 09:39 in response to an unspecified medical request. Perry was transported to a nearby hospital.

Publicist Arnold Robinson told The Associated Press the 52-year-old actor is "currently under observation" at the hospital.

SENDING WELL WISHES

After news broke, Perry's co-stars took to social media to share well wishes for the actor, who rose to fame as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210.

"My friend. Holding you tight and giving you my strength," Shannen Doherty wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of them from the 90s TV series.

Ian Ziering shared a black and white photo of him and Perry as youngsters, writing: "No words can express what my heart feels hearing today's shocking news. Let us all say a prayer for his speedy recovery."

Perry's Riverdale co-stars sent their love to the actor on Twitter with Molly Ringwald, who portrays Perry's ex Mary Andrews in the series, writing: "Sending my love to Luke Perry."

John Behlmann also tweeted: "Wishing all the best and a safe recovery for Luke Perry."

Lili Reinhart shared a photo of herself and Perry on set on Instagram with the caption: "Thinking of you, Luke. And praying for your safe recovery."
