Cape Town – It's been a long, gruelling divorce process for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
The couple first announced their split in 2016, but it wasn't until this year that a judge ruled the two were officially single – and in February they were still reportedly meeting up to talk about the kids.
At the time it was said that Angelina filed for divorce after the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor laid hands on their son while the family was on a private jet. Since, Maddox hasn't had much contact with his estranged father.
In a video obtained by In Touch, Maddox was recently asked by paparazzi about his relationship with his estranged father though. And with the most mature response, the 18-year-old responded to questions of whether his dad would be visiting him at campus. "I don't know about that, what's happening," he responded.
And to questions about whether their relationship is over for good, he put it simply: "What happens, happens."
The questions came as he was spotted at Yonsei University. He recently started studying life science and biotechnology at the prestigious campus.
A teary, but proud, Angelina recently dropped her son off alone, telling the paps, "I'm trying not to cry..."
