Cape Town - A man has been arrested after he tried to break into David Schwimmer’s home in New York.

The Friends actor wasn’t at home when the unexpected visitor popped by, TMZ reported.

The suspect, identified as 29-year-old bricklayer Eric Rosa, tried to break into the 52-year-old’s home using a brick.

Neighbours, alerted by a racket coming from the house, immediately called the authorities.

According to Daily Mail, the intruder has past convictions for theft and claimed that he’d mistakenly landed on the star’s property and used the brick to draw attention from neighbours for assistance.

He’s since been arrested on weapon and trespassing charges, Fox News reported.

Police are investigating the incident.
