Cape Town – Mandy Moore went through a “rollercoaster of emotions” over the weekend and it was like an episode of This Is Us.
ICYMI, the star of the NBC show wed Dawes musician Taylor Goldsmith in an intimate backyard ceremony on Sunday evening.

Little did fans know, Mandy experienced a sad loss just the night before – her beloved pet cat, Madeline, died.
In a lengthy post on Instagram, Mandy shared the sad story of the turn of events, writing: “Sometimes life doesn’t consider that you have big plans underway. Sometimes the earth just falls right out beneath you. We lost our sweet Madeline very suddenly on Saturday evening and my heart is so utterly broken.”
The 34-year-old revealed Madeline’s cause of death, writing: “She had an enlarged heart (it had to be true because there wasn’t a sweeter, more affectionate cat in all the land), blood clots formed and sent her into heart failure.”
Mandy gave thanks to the cat for the “lessons in patience, responsibility and unconditional love” and added that she will always cherish the moments she shared with the cat, including being able to be there to hold her when she took her last breath.
