In a recent interview with Irish Radio Station 1038, Matt Damon revealed his daughter contracted Covid-19.

The actor, who’s been staying in Dalkey in Dublin where he was filming Ridley Scott's The Last Duel just before lockdown, told Fully Charged hosts, Graham and Nathan, that he’s currently self-isolating with his family. The 49-year-old shares four children, Isabella, Gia, Stella and Alexia, with wife, Luciana Barroso. Alexia is his stepdaughter from Luciana’s previous marriage.

Though most of the family is together – he even has the kids’ teachers with him because they planned to be away for quite some time, together, before things escalated and the lockdown was enforced – Alexia is currently in New York.

"Our oldest daughter’s in college," Matt said. "Obviously that’s been shut down, but she’s in New York City, and she had Covid really early on along with her roommates."

Matt added that she "got through it fine" and they’ll hopefully reunite at the end of the month.

Matt also gave a shoutout to one of the nurses on the frontline battling the coronavirus who happens to be one of his biggest fans. They got her on the call, and the Ford v Ferrari star surprised her.

"Thank you so much for what you’re doing," he said. "This has been so horrible for everybody, but if there is any silver lining, it’s that, hopefully, people are finally understanding how awesome you frontline workers are."
