Johannesburg - Michael B. Jordan has announced he will be finally moving out of the home he shares with his parents and living on his own, Daily Mail reports.
The 31-year-old actor revealed earlier this year, during The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he still lives with his parents, Donna and Michael A. Jordan.
During the appearance, Michael said of his living situation: “I love my parents but we have a roommate relationship right now, which is interesting.
“You get home-cooked meals but then you also have random trips to the kitchen in the middle of the night.”
Michael lives in a Sherman Oaks mansion, which he bought in 2016.
But it now seems his living situation is set to change after telling the November edition of Vanity Fair that he’ll be living in a “penthouse in downtown Los Angeles, three blocks from the home of a friend in my entourage.”
In the interview, he also revealed how he deals with Hollywood pressure – by turning to Will Smith for advice.
“Navigating and learning how to deal with this s***, there’s nobody that really helped me,” he told the magazine.
He also added that Will, who recently turned 50, told him to keep focused on his work and continue to build his career.
“I’m not comfortable yet because the people around me aren’t comfortable, either, and it’s like I going get to a place where I’m like, ‘All right, the thing is moving on its own. The machine is running,’ you know what I’m saying?” he said.
“Once it starts to roll on its own, I can kind off start to live my life a little bit more, and that’s the sacrifice that people don’t really get,” he continued.
“These people you see with these legacies, they don’t ever talk about what they sacrificed to get there. People think these things just happen. It’s not like that.”
“They give up so much of their personal life, their love life, whatever, this, that, and personal things,” he added.
