Michael Bublé has reportedly been receiving death threats after a video of him with his wife, actress Luisana Lopilato went viral.
In the video, which was initially an Instagram Live with the couple reading a children's book for parents self-isolating with their kids, the singer seemingly playfully elbows Luisana before pulling her towards him, reports Insider. Fans felt he was "mistreating" his wife though, even raising concerns of domestic violence, before old videos of the couple started resurfacing.
Luisana later addressed fans' concerns and defended her husband, reports E! News, saying on Instagram: "I want you all to know that I have no doubts about who my husband is and that I would choose him again a thousand times over!"
The Haven't Met You Yet singer's representative later told the publication the allegations were "a failed effort of cyberbullying". "Anyone who watches them every day can see that this is a beautiful partnership filled with love."
Luisana recently appeared on the Argentinian talk show Intrusos where she discussed how the video has affected her family, revealing the 44-year-old has received death threats.
"We received a lot of love from people but you wouldn't believe the amount of people who sent me photos with weapons saying they were going to kill Mike when he reached Argentina, photos of knives from people laughing and saying they were going to cut off his fingers, leave a bomb for us or give him a beating.
"I still feel a little bit frightened," she said.
