Ali the bull elephant, who once lived at Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, escaped from his enclosure at The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens after a gate was accidently left open on Sunday.
After being on the loose for 20 minutes, Ali was found in a courtyard behind the giraffe and elephant barn, reports Entertainment Online.
A Facebook post on the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens page read: “At 12:20 today, Ali, our sweet-natured bull elephant who came to the Zoo in 1997 from Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, went through a gate that was accidentally left open and ended up in a courtyard behind the giraffe and elephant barn.
Ali was eventually lured back into his enclosure after zoo staff used food to entice him, according to Metro UK.
“While guests were never in danger, safety protocols went into place and Zoo staff immediately jumped into action to get the big guy back where he belonged,” the zoo said.
