Miley Cyrus shares brutally honest post after Liam Hemsworth files for divorce

Cape Town – Miley Cyrus is setting the record straight.

When Liam Hemsworth filed for divorce from the Nothing Breaks Like A Heart singer earlier this week, many blamed her for the couple's split.

Despite her song Slide Away echoing her rep's initial words that the two had grown apart and felt they both wanted different things for a while now, users commented on the Instagram post of her song – and they were brutal.

One comment read, "He dodged a bullet for sure," while others felt Miley shouldn't have shared such intimate details about Liam's addiction in her song, or moved on so quickly.

Miley was spotted getting cosy with Kaitlyn Carter days before and ever since the couple officially announced their split. Many users seem to be blaming Miley for the couple's divorce as a result, calling the Mother's Daughter singer a cheater. But in a candid post, Miley says she's everything but that.

"I can accept that the life I've chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public 100% of the time. What I cannot accept is being told I'm lying to cover up a crime I haven't committed," Miley shared in the screenshot of her notes.

"It is no secret that I was into partying in my teens and early 20s. I have not only smoked, but advocated for weed, I've experimented with drugs, my biggest song to date is about dancing on molly and snorting lines in the bathroom. I fucked up and cheated in relationships when I was young. I lost a massive Walmart deal at 17 for ripping a bong. I got kicked off hotel Transylvania for buying Liams a penis cake for his birthday and licking it, I swung on a wrecking ball naked, there are probably more nudes of me on the internet that maybe any woman in history. But the truth is, once Liam and I reconciled, I meant it, and I was committed. There are NO secrets to uncover here."

Miley goes on to say she has grown up and is now "the healthiest and happiest"  she's been "in a long time". And while she can admit to a lot of things, she says, "I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating.

"You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking, foul mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar."
