Cape Town – Model Slick Woods reportedly went into labour minutes after walking the runway at Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty New York Fashion Week show.

According to TMZ, the 22-year-old started feeling contractions as she went backstage after modelling one of RiRi’s lingerie looks.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to help her and took her to a nearby hospital.

It is still unclear whether Slick has given birth to her baby boy, who she is planning on naming Saphir, E! News reports.

Rihanna’s latest offering of size-inclusive intimates is reportedly being hailed as ground-breaking.

Speaking about her decision to have Slick walk in the show, Rihanna told E! News’ Zanna Roberts Rassi: “Women are the strongest people on earth.

“Our bodies alone are made to do so many different things and they're designed in so many different unique ways. If you have the blessing to be able to bring life into this world it should be celebrated as well.

“I'm never going to tell a woman she can't have job with me because I can't have a pregnant lady [modeling] lingerie or makeup.”
