Cape Town - Nicole Kidman officially added a new member to her family.
The 52-year-old actress took to Instagram recently to reveal that she just got her first pooch.
"My first puppy . . . actually my first dog. Been waiting my whole life for this!" she captioned her post.
In the adorable snap, the Big Little Lies actress can be seen cuddling with what appears to be a small red poodle, whose name is not known yet, People reports.
The Australian actress’ post was flooded with congratulatory messages from fellow dog lovers.
"I don't know if I'm happier for Nicole Kidman getting a dog or for the dog that's getting a Nicole Kidman," one follower wrote.
"Congratulations on being owned by a pet," another follower said.

Nicole has two daughters, Sunday Rose (11) and eight-year-old Faith Margaret, with her husband of 13 years, Keith Urban, Now To Love reports.
She also shares two kids, son Connor (24) and daughter Isabella Jane (26), with ex-hubby Tom Cruise.
