Cape Town - Former Pussycat Dolls lead singer and current X-Factor UK judge Nicole Scherzinger recently visited South Africa but became so ill while she was here that’s she had to be put on a drip, reported OK!
The visit was part of the filming of the X-Factor in September and the judge flew in with her mentees to enjoy a safari in an undisclosed location.
In an interview with OK! the Run singer said that while filming she felt “really run down”.
“I think I was just working a lot and travelling a lot and I got really run down,” she said.
“I didn’t feel myself and I was trying my best to fake it while we were filming, but they ended up having to put me on an IV drip.”
The 39-year-old said that she had severe tonsillitis but decided that she needed to “power through it all”.
“The show isn’t about me, it’s about the contestants, and so I tried to power through and do a good job. I feel much better now, though.”
This news comes after reports that Nicole’s co-judge Simon Cowell had fainted and fallen down the stairs at his London home while taking care of his three-year-old son.
Luckily he only sustained minor injuries but now has to wear a neck brace, the Daily Mail reported.
