Nikki Reed’s ‘badass’ life as a mom

Cape Town – Nikki Reed has broken her month-long vow of silence to update everyone of her life as a new mom.

The Twilight actress shared a photo of herself doing “acro-yoga” with her brother, commenting that while she is still recovering from giving birth and can’t do much, she keeps herself busy with small things that make her feel “badass” and like “superwoman”.

This easy pose stretches her hips, triceps and even her abdomen, which are of course still in repair mode. Of all the postures, there were a few that really felt amazing for her. This was one of them. Can you believe how amazing she looks? I swear she's already in proper shape to join me for the San Diego Triathalon next month...

Shortly before the birth of their daughter, Bodhi Soleil Reed Somerhalder, Nikki told Fit Pregnancy magazine that she and Ian would be taking a vow of silence in the first month of the baby’s birth.

Since welcoming their bundle of joy on 25 July, both Nikki and Ian have broken their vow.

In a recent Instagram post, Ian paid tribute to his wife thanking her for inspiring not only him but “all others who read, hear or see what your soul gives us.”

Just a quick note to you my beautiful wife. You are briefly napping on the other side of the room after being an amazing mom all night so you'll read this when you wake... seeing these images reminds me of those amazing 9 months that you sacrificed your whole being to grow our little one. The kindness, the beauty and organic nature of these photos makes me so very proud. You brought such fun and such power into our lives being pregnant but you literally brought the word sexy into pregnancy, we all see it.
