Cape Town - It looks like Oprah definitely won’t be running for president!

The businesswoman graced the August cover of British Vogue and in her feature interview explained why she won’t be running for office in 2020.

“In that political structure - all the non-truths, the bulls**t, the crap, the nastiness, the backhanded backroom stuff that goes on - I feel like I couldn’t exist,” Oprah said in the interview. “I wouldn’t be able to do it. It’s not a clean business. It would kill me.”

On the cover - photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott - the 64-year-old donned a custom-made white off-the-shoulder Stella McCartney gown with her hair pulled back to show off her gorgeous Buccellati emerald-and-diamond earrings.

In an interview with People earlier this year, the talk-show host revealed that she consulted God on whether to run for president.

“I went into prayer. ‘God, if you think I’m supposed to run, you gotta tell me, and it has to be so clear that not even I can miss it.’ And I haven’t gotten that,” she says.

Although Oprah has ruled out the presidency, she remains vocal on many issues, including the #MeToo movement.

“People talk about ‘these are such dark times,’ but what if we shift the paradigm? Because I see it differently. I see, ‘Isn’t this remarkable that we’re waking up?’ For years, women have endured craziness. This is what’s happening to people,” Oprah told British Vogue.

She added: “They’re allowing themselves to not just become corroded, but to become hysterical. You’ve got to lean to the happiness.”

The producer and actress also revealed that she almost had a blunder with the original dress she intended wearing to Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May.

“[I saw the gown and it] looked white, not cream,” she said. “I googled, ‘Can you wear white to a wedding?’ Answer: ‘No, don’t risk it’.”

Luckily she called on a friend, designer Stella McCartney, who managed to pull a rabbit out of a hat and came up with a brand-new light-pink creation which she wore on the day.

“I would like to thank the Stella McCartney team for working all night long to get this dress finished,” she explained in a video posted to Instagram. “Because we had Dressgate. Wrong colour! Now we got the right colour. I think we’re gonna do OK. But no. Thank you so much for the detail, working all night. To the whole Stella McCartney team. Amen, amen, amen, Stella McCartney team. Thank you very much!”
