Pamela Anderson disappointed by Playboy dropping nude shoots

Los Angeles- Pamela Anderson is disappointed Playboy magazine has stopped publishing nude photo shoots.

The blonde bombshell - who first posed for the publication in 1989 and appeared in its pages 15 times - donned the cover and stripped naked one final time for the last ever issue with nudity.

Although she understands why the editorial decision was made, Pamela believes the no full-frontal nudity policy signals an end of the Playboy "lifestyle" founder Hugh Hefner embodied and lived out at his Playboy Mansion.

She said: "I understand why they've done this but it was bittersweet. It was a lifestyle. The Playboy Mansion was my university. It was full of intellectuals, sex, rock 'n' roll, arts, all of the important stuff!"

Before agreeing to bare all again for Playboy, the 48-year-old beauty spoke with her teenage sons, Brandon and Dylan, to check that they were OK with it. Dylan encouraged his mom and insisted that they are not embarrassed by it.

Pamela had her kids with her ex-husband, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, and she and Tommy are currently helping 18-year-old Dylan choose a college.

Although the former lovers make a solid parenting team, the actress admits it's been amusing to see the one-time rock 'n' roll hellraiser take higher education so seriously.

During an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, she explained: "We're actually very good at co-parenting and we're strict with our children and we want them to be well-educated. You should see Tommy in some of these university meetings. It's pretty funny to see him insist on all of this education."

This Playboy shoot marks her 14 covers and 15th pictorial.
