PIC: Mindy Kaling tastefully recreates Beyoncé’s Vogue cover

Cape Town – Mindy Kaling channelled her inner Beyoncé with a tasteful recreation of the hitmaker’s Vogue magazine September issue cover.

The 39-year-old actress shared a side-by-side photo of herself and Bey’s photo – taken by Tyler Mitchell – on social media on Wednesday.

In her rendition, Mindy is wearing a white t-shirt and a flower crown of her own - which is made up of a sunflower and lilies, among others.

Mindy captioned the post, “Beyoncé Pad Thai,” which is a reference from her show, The Mindy Project.

According to E! News, in one of the episodes Mindy’s character, Mindy Lahiri, decides she needs a “warrior name” and dubs herself “Beyoncé Pad Thai.”
