PICS: Carrie Underwood shares first snaps of newborn son Jacob

Nashville — Carrie Underwood says her heart is full after the arrival of her second son.

The country superstar posted photos of herself, her husband Mike Fisher and their son Isaiah on social media, announcing the birth of baby Jacob Bryan Fisher.

"Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday," the 35-year-old wrote, adding that everyone is happy, healthy and excited about the new arrival.

Mike shared another snap of the newborn on his Instagram, writing: "You are a gift from our Lord! The last few years has has had its challenges and it makes this moment even more sweet! We didn’t know if Izzy would ever have another sibling but we learned through it all that God is in control and his timing is perfect! He is good all the time even in the difficult times that are hard to understand."

Carrie welcomed her miracle baby after revealing that she had three miscarriages over the course of two years.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning in September 2018, the American Idol winner revealed she got pregnant in early 2017 and it "didn't work out." She had a second miscarriage later that year and a third in 2018.

Carrie revealed her pregnancy in August 2018 with a sweet video, while also providing information about her upcoming tour.

The 35-year-old singer is scheduled to go on tour this spring and last year released her latest album, Cry Pretty, which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.
