Cape Town – Lorde wore a unique accessory to the Met Gala and while it may not have been something she wanted, it turned out to be the most important piece worn on the night.

The Royals singer broke her arm forcing her to pair her ballerina-style Valentino gown with a cast.

And while she arrived with it looking crisp, clean and fresh, the medical accessory ended up taking count of the evening's guest list.

The doodle artists include the likes of Taylor Swift, Ansel Elgort and even Kanye West.
