Cape Town – JLo and A-Rod celebrated their engagement with a private party on Friday night – but that didn't stop the couple from going all out.

Dressed in a mini white dress, ruffles down her right arm, Jennifer Lopez looked gorgeous next to Alex Rodriguez who was dressed in a white shirt and black blazer, but appeared just casual enough with his top button undone.

Singer-songwriter, Carole Bayer Sager threw the party with her husband Bob Daly in Los Angeles, according to PEOPLE.

The Hustlers actress thanked the couple for throwing "the most beautifully elegant night" with a sweet post on Instagram, showing her kissing husband-to-be, A-Rod.

The couple got engaged in March this year when the former baseball player popped the question on the beach in the Bahamas.

The On The Floor singer posted a few images of the proposal while A-Rod captioned a picture of her hand, a rock on her ring finger, "She said yes."
