Cape Town - Celine Dion is known for making bold fashion statements.
Over the years the singer has never shied away from risk-taking looks – some of which have been ahead of their time.
In light of her recent feature for Harper’s Bazaar – in which Celine sports a series of striking outfits – we take a look back at some of the icon’s greatest fashion moments.
1. In 1993, the singer arrived at the Grammys in a sheer black gown that showed off nothing but a black thong underneath.
2. Sticking with the naked dress theme, Celine wore a sheer textured gown and nude underwear to the 1997 Grammy Awards.
3. In 1999, the star switched it up and went for a more mature, chic look with a twist when she arrived at the 71st Academy awards wearing a Dior tuxedo backwards, wmagazine.com reports. She topped the outfit off with a hat and black rectangular sunglasses.
4. In 2003, the Grammy winner showed off her hip bones when she attended the Billboard Music Awards in a hip-grazing cut-out gown.
5. The star was spotted in Paris last month sporting a ruffled yellow skirt and a black and white tuxedo jacket.
6. Celine dazzled in a black sparkling gown, complete with a plunging neckline and thigh slit, at the Paris Couture Week in July.
7. Featured in Harper’s Bazaar’s 2019 Icons portfolio, the My Heart Will Go On hitmaker poses in a neon-green tuxedo jacket, with a pair of white heels and a black wig.
